Gregory James Cole, age 58, passed from this life unexpectedly on his sister’s birthday, May 1, 2024, at his home in Parrish, Florida where he resided with his mother. He was born in McKeesport, PA in 1965. He lived in Bunola, PA, in Pittsburgh, PA, in Dallas, TX, and in Fayetteville, TN.
He attended Thiel College for marine biology but transferred to the Art Institute in Pittsburgh before moving to Texas to do extensive IT work for various companies. Later in life he became a radiology tech before retiring to care for his father.
Greg was a multi-talented individual. He was a gifted artist, a wonderful cook, and talented musician. His talents included drawing and painting, macrame, leather-crafting, jewelry-making, baking, cooking, grilling, guitar and piano playing, & music mixing. He was a whiz with computer technologies and loved to read.
His family knew him to be extremely caring and giving.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Gary Cole, of Fayetteville, TN. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Thayer Cole, of Parrish, FL, his sister, Tracy (Brad) McTigue, of Shelbyville, TN, and his nephews, Garret, Jesse, and Cole Smotherman, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
