Tom/Tommy was a dedicated and honorable man, committed to providing for his family and lifelong service to his country. He enjoyed simple pleasures such as swimming, warm weather, eating crabs and Traveling.
You could count on hearing country music when driving down the road in his Ford Truck and a Western movie playing on the Television when you walked in his house. His favorite recliner and blanket were surely witnesses to many of his cherished moments and comforting to think of them as a part of his peaceful rest now.
Tom/Tommy was known for his gentle nature and few words, but he had a playful side,
always ready to offer a friendly "poke in the nose."
Tom/Tommy valued family above all else and cherished spending time with his loved ones. A sociable individual, Tom enjoyed socializing with others and traveling to new places. He most recently delighted in trips to Germany and Holland, immersing himself in the culture and festivities, especially enjoying Oktoberfest like a native and creating lasting memories with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in-laws.
Tom's dedication and service to his country are truly admirable. Tom joined the Army in 1961 and served as a proud soldier, rising through the ranks earning several acknowledgements of his service and serving in the Vietnam war over his 24 year career.
