Farnsworth, Hazel Mildred, 87, Clementsvale, passed away April 29, 2024 at Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born at home, in Whale Cove. She was a daughter of the late Darrell and Kathleen Bunker. She loved music and writing songs. Mom was a hard worker who loved her God. She loved to garden, loved wood heat and would make crafts from quilts to knitting. She loved to walk on the beach and collect seaweed for her garden, shells and periwinkles off the rocks. She would pick blueberries to sell to feed us or pay bills. She taught all of her kids to work hard from cutting, packing fish/mackerel, shucking scallops. She set rabbit snares, caught them, cleaned them and sold them. She protected her family from critters, bats, rats, snakes and to us she wasn’t scared of anything. She worked on the base waiting on tables.
