Mr. Davis was born in, served as Mayor for 10 years in and passed away in the town he was honored and proud to be a part of; Garden City, AL. He served with the OSS in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Harden was a member of Garden City Baptist Church and faithfully served as a deacon for many years. He was a machinist for over 35 years, he enjoyed woodworking and especially building cars and birdhouses. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for being a jokester. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Sue Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Odie Bell Davis; daughter, Sherry Davis Lucas of West Palm Beach, FL.; son, Terry Dean (Carol) Davis of Greer, SC.; sister, Ruth Whaley; grandchildren: Sean Davis, Branden Davis and Elissa Lucas and great grandchildren: Bella, Catie and Cam.
His Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Moss Service Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Scott Arnold officiating. His family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Garden City Cemetery.
