Maggie June Huffman, age 73, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
June was born in Landville, WV to Virginia Dare Huffman and Freelan Franklin Huffman.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginnie Nachtwey (Tony Nachtwey), Amber Wisniewski, Krystle Wisniewski, and Amanda Wisniewski; sons, Michael Cuthbert (Tracy Martin), Aaron Cuthbert (Donna Cuthbert), and Jonathan Wisniewski (Lupe Wisniewski); sisters, Lenora Maynard, Bobbie (Jimmy) Maynard, and Doris (Earl) Trent; brother, Michael (Laura) Huffman; grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Michaela, Rebecca, Michael, Christopher, Jeremiah, Julia, Blake, Maggie, Benjamin, Malachi, Carson, Amilia, Serenity, Eleazar, Nevaeh, Siraiha, Rosalina, Emmiliana; and her great-grandchild, Arya.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Freelan Franklin Huffman and Virginia Dare Huffman; her sister, Bernice Meadows; and her brothers, Nelo Huffman, Frank Huffman, Steve Huffman, and Tex Huffman.
June was deeply devoted to her family, actively participating in gatherings and maintaining regular communication with her loved ones. She cherished moments with her grandchildren, sharing her wisdom and guidance generously. Her support, encouragement, and reminders to acknowledge the presence of God will be fondly remembered. June leaves behind a profound void, particularly felt by her adoring children.
A Visitation to honor June will take place Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307, with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately thereafter at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
