Reynaldo "Ray" Ramirez, a beacon of light and warmth, was born on February 4, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas. At 63 years old, he departed, leaving behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew him.
Born to Macaria and Isidoro Ramirez, Ray was one of eleven siblings, a testament to the richness of his family's bond. His dedication to his craft as a painter and his entrepreneurial spirit in the tire business reflected his boundless energy and zest for life.
Ray was very generous, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His faith was a major part of his life and he loved praying with his family, and attending worship services where he found hope and strength in his final days.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Macaria and Isidoro Ramirez; brother, Isidor “Jr.” Ramirez; and sister, Elizabeth Ramirez Zundt. Ray will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Suzette Cano; daughter, Jennifer Salas; grandchildren, Florencia Salas, Alvaro Salas, and Kevin Lopez; siblings, Elvia (George), Linda (Danny), Maria (Tony), Tonia, Elida (Bill), Rudy (Angel), Rosa (David), and Letty (Jesse); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ray's presence illuminated the lives of many, and his laughter will echo through the halls of memories of those who loved him long after his departure. May he find eternal rest in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Visitation for Ray will begin at 9 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to follow at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Service & Eulogy will occur at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Those with the honor of being a pallbearer are as follows: Vincent Alcazar, Oscar Ramirez, Jake Lopez, Gabriel Gonzales, David Marin, Ricky Livas, Jason Nickelson, and AJ Garza.
