Bernice was born in El Paso, TX, on June 28, 1923. As a child, the family moved to Casa Grande, AZ where she lived until graduating from high school. Bernice attended Arizona State University, then moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she met her future husband, Karl.
They were married on March 21, 1953, and raised their children in Simi Valley, CA. Bernice was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for nearly 75 years. In 1980, she and her husband retired to the small resort town of Wimberley, TX. Her needlepoint creations adorned their home.
When Karl passed away in 2015, Bernice moved to Kingwood, TX, to be near her daughter. Bernice became an active member of her community where her passions included playing bridge, winning at bingo, causing fun-filled trouble, and making many friends. Her family will remember how she was always giving people nicknames, sneaking candy to the little ones in her family, and reminiscing about her past.
Bernice’s legacy extends throughout the generations. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Annette Parker (Michael), son Harold Neumann (Melissa), grandchildren - Kimberly Hardy (Richard), Steven Parker (Bonnie), Rebecca Galvan (Adrian), and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, George, Lenard, and Harold Meyer.
She was laid to rest in Coppell, TX.
