

Charlie was a dedicated husband to Gerry, his loving wife of 49 years and a devoted father to Chuck and Tim. He is also survived by his daughter in-law Caitlin, son-in-law Robert and sister Rosemary. Charlie was affectionately known as “Pa” to the joys of his life, his grandchildren Molly and Charlie. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Charles and Helen, and his sister Patsy. He will be remembered and deeply missed by many extended family members and lifelong friends.
Charlie was born in Manhattan, NY on March 28, 1954. After relocating from Washington Heights to Kingsbridge, Charlie met his wife, Gerry, at 17 and they married in 1977. Charlie attended Cardinal Hayes High School and then Manhattan College, becoming a lifelong, avid Jaspers fan. He went on to a successful 37-year career at New York Life Insurance Company, making many great friends along the way.
Charlie loved the beach, live music, ice cream, and his NY sports teams. Charlie’s endearing wit, humor and charm will live on in stories told by his close family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in Congers on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12 from 4-8 PM. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, June 13 at 10 AM at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church at 82 Lake Road in Congers followed by a burial in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Autism Speaks or the Montefiore Nyack Foundation (where all donations in his name will be directed to The Infusion Center).
