With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and “Grannie”, Sandra Roberts. She earned her angel wings on May 1st, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family.
Sandy’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and J.D. Eades, six cherished sisters, Melba, Juanita, Elizabeth, Gladys, Edith, and her two dear brothers, Mike and David. We are comforted knowing their spirits welcomed her with open arms as she crossed into eternity.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Melvin Roberts, her sister, Betty Jo Richardson, her two daughters, Lesley and Donna, and seven precious grandchildren: Lauren, Brooke, Braden, Colby, Faith, Nick, and Tara. Sandy was blessed to experience and meet her one great-granddaughter, Addilyn. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will remember her warmth and smile.
Sandy’s heart overflowed with love for her family, and there was nothing else she cherished more than their presence. Sandy found life and joy in family vacations and get-togethers, whipping up delicious meals that became a staple dish of the holidays, baking and decorating cakes, tending to her garden, and watching birds and deer from her backyard. She is also known for all the little ways she brought fun and laughter to each gathering, creating family traditions and shared memories that will continue. Above all, Sandy was the heart and soul for her family, always showing up for her grandchildren, supporting them wholeheartedly in all their endeavors.
As we bid farewell, we find solace in the countless memories she gifted us and the love that will forever reside in our hearts. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us each day. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her, until we meet again in the embrace of heaven.
While this time is filled with deep sorrow, we receive comfort in the love and support from those who have reached out with their condolences. We are grateful for those who gather with us today as a reminder that we are not alone in our grief.
Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
