With profound love and sadness, the family of Marie Dauphinais announces her passing on May 2, 2024, after bravely battling glioblastoma in Dunedin, Florida. Her loving son, John, daughter-in-law Brynn, sister Denyse, and brother-in-law Jamie were by her side.
The second child of Joseph and Maureen Dauphinais, Marie was born in 1954 in Arnprior, Ontario. The Dauphinais Family moved to Rutland, Vermont in 1963, and from there Marie graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy. She received her bachelor’s degree at Temple University, and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University.
In 1986, Marie moved to Florida and found employment at the City of Oldsmar, where she worked for over 30 years, culminating in her position as the Director of Planning & Redevelopment.
You will see much of her influence throughout the City of Oldsmar, especially along the Tampa Road Corridor.
Marie was a devout Catholic who thanked God for all her blessings each and every day. She exemplified her unshakeable faith by caring for her parents in their later years.
Our sincere thanks to the doctors that treated her and the many friends and family that supported her throughout her illness.
