Marjorie Frances Frye, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, at The Branches of North Attleborough. She was born on April 5, 1949, in Boston, MA, to Nathan and Ellen Berman.
Marjorie is survived by her three loving children, Cliff, Scott, and Eric Frye, and their spouses Jen, Melissa, and Maureen, respectively. She was adored by her grandchildren Korbin, Justin, Noah, Addison, and Olivia, who brought immense joy to her life. Marjorie is also survived by her sister, Vicki (Berman) Skoletsky and her husband, Lenny.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Nathan and Ellen Berman, and her husband, Arthur Frye. Marjorie was a woman of many talents and passions. She pursued a career as an Electrologist and later embarked on the entrepreneurial journey of starting Goodies Galore, which began as an ice cream shop and flourished into a balloon decoration company. Her creative spirit and entrepreneurial heart were truly inspiring.
Her love for the beach in Narragansett was unparalleled, and she cherished spending time with her family and friends at her beach house and more specifically, Brickley’s. Marjorie had a deep involvement in her community, notably founding the first PeeWee Soccer League and The After Prom Party in Sharon, a testament to her dedication to fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.
Marjorie's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. She had an extraordinary ability to turn acquaintances into lifelong friends, and her home was always open to those in need of love and support. As a mother, she was unparalleled, shaping the lives of her three boys and countless others with her boundless love and unwavering support.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 10 AM at the Atereth Israel Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury, MA. Shiva will be held immediately following the burial at the residence of Eric Frye until 8 PM and continuing Wednesday from 3 PM to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org in Marjorie's honor, reflecting her compassionate nature and desire to help others.
Marjorie Frances Frye will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her infectious laughter, generous spirit, and endless love.
