With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Sharon George on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta. She was born on July 27 of 1957 to Max & Ivy Hamp in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. Sharon was a beacon of strength and selflessness, epitomizing the true essence of a devoted mother. Her fierce love knew no bounds. She was always putting the needs of her family and loved ones before her own, whether it was a comforting embrace, a listening ear, or a reassuring smile, she always found a way to uplift those around her. When it came to Sharon’s professional pursuits over her years at Boston Pizza or her personal endeavors, she tackled each task with passion and determination, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Though she may no longer walk among us, the memories of Sharon’s love, laughter, and indomitable spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love & kindness and will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to embrace each day with the same joy, compassion, and zest for life that she so effortlessly radiated. Sharon will forever be cherished & missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sharon is survived by her children (Her 3 T’s) and their families, Travis & Alisa George, Tannis & Kip Lindsay, and Tyrel George; her dear companion Blaine Hansen; her grandchildren, Brooklyn Meashaw, Jackson Lindsay, Kennedy Rufiange, Caiden Rufiange, Shelby Prangnell, Ava George, and Lily Cottrell; her siblings, Michael (Judy), Judy, Nancy, Charlotte, and Brian; and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held May 12th, 2024, in Canmore, Alberta at 1:00 pm.
