Beloved and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather
Karl's life began in Germany. When the opportunity arose, he decided to emigrate from war-torn Germany with his late wife Lina to build a new life and raise their children in Canada.
Following the death of his first wife Lina, Karl then relocated to the United States to begin a new chapter as a retiree for 40 years with his second wife, Loni. Together they enjoyed much travel, good friends and laughter.
Karl enjoyed his 98 years of life to the fullest. He loved to travel, and did travel the world, often accompanied by his family. Karl also enjoyed baking and was a master at chess. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Watching his grandson graduate from Harvard Law was an especially proud moment for him.
His gracious smile and passion for life will be missed by many.
