Simone was born November 23, 1962, in Chicago, IL to Norman and Geraldine (Jordan) Wilson. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years.
Simone was most known for her generosity. If there was any way she was able to help she would move mountains to see what she could do. She loved her family very much. She was a fearless and devoted mother, a loving nana, a caring mother in law, a loyal daughter and sister and a dear aunt and friend. All titles which she held near and dear to her heart. Her son and her grandchildren were her biggest pride and joy and she was always so proud to share a story or accomplishment of them.
Though she loved to cook, listen to music, laugh with family & friends and watch a good movie, Simone’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. She deeply treasured her time most with her grandson Mason and she was overjoyed to learn she was set to be a nana again in October of 2024 to another baby boy. Simone will be greatly missed but her beautiful soul and the memories she made will live on through those she loved forever.
She is survived by her son, LaReno (Stephanie) Wilson of Bloomington, IL; two grandchildren, Mason and Elijah Wilson; her mother Geraldine Wilson of Normal; her step-father, Roderick Sangster, Sr. of Bloomington, IL; six siblings, Shalyn Woods of Normal, IL, Alonda (Jeffery) Smith of Chicago, IL, Lolita Wilson of Normal, IL, Roderick Sangster, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL, Norman Wilson, Jr. of Normal, IL and LaReno Sangster of Normal, IL. Seven nieces, eight nephews, four great nieces, and 2 great nephews and one great-great niece.
