Obituary of Michelle Setliff
Michelle Renee Farrington Setliff of Bassett, VA died at Stanleytown Health and Rehab on April 28, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Michelle was born on November 29, 1969 in Martinsville, VA to Ray and Imogene Farrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Clark and a brother, Keith Farrington. She was a graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School in 1988 and a graduate of National Business College in 1992. Before her illness she was employed by GSI Industries in Bassett as an HR Manager. She had also worked at Tultex years ago and Orvis in Roanoke in HR for 10 years. She enjoyed doing crafts, bowling, fishing and being with family and friends. On April 24, 2022 she was baptized at Stone Memorial Christian Church. Michelle is survived by her son, Tyler Ray Setliff , sister, Brenda Farrington Fuller both of Bassett, VA brother, Mike Farrington (Debbie) of Surf City, N.C., nieces, Jamie Dowdy, Sara Hayzlett, Amber Grant, nephews, Bill Fuller, Jason Fuller, Scott Farrington, Brian Farrington, Kevin Clark , brother-in-law, George Clark and special friend, Scotty France. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Stone Memorial Christian Church Collinsville Va, with Reverend Tim Wood officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior at 1:00 PM. At other times the family will be at the residence. The family would like to thank Spectrum Orthopedic, Dr. Cole and Gilrane, also Roanoke Memorial , Rocky Mount Rehab, Sovah of Martinsville, Stanleytown Health and Rehab. We also a big Thank You to the Orvis Crew for everything you did for Michelle and all the friends and family that was there for support.
