Graveside services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Elmwood Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Harkrider officiating. She will lie in state at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home prior to graveside service from 8-9:45 am. Services of comfort have been entrusted to Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Cleo was born on December 8, 1928 to the late George Clayton Hallford and Annie (Horton) Hallford in Peacock, Texas. She grew up and attended school at Peacock and Aspermont, Texas before moving to Freemont, California, where she graduated high school. She married Gaylor Eugene Miller on December 23, 1948 in Aspermont, Texas. She moved several times following her husband’s Military career. They settled back in Abilene in 1970. Cleo and her husband had one son Michael. Cleo was a devoted homemaker and loved to shop. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylor E. Miller; her son, Michael Miller; special companion John Miller; sister, Ethel Lee Perry; brothers, Paul and Howard Hallford.
She is survived by her devoted daughter-in-love, Pam Farr and her husband Larry; grandsons, David Michael Miller and wife Britt of Lubbock, Christopher Michael Miller and wife Tracy of Mabank, and Michael Miller, Jr. of Abilene. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
