Carroll Dwain Latham, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on August 31, 1939, to his parents Hilary and Lennie Latham, in Hemphill, Texas, and resided in Houston, Texas, at the time of his passing.
On August 5, 1961, Carrol married his high school sweetheart, Bobbie Gene and moved into their home in Houston. Their marriage resulted in the birth of a daughter, Kendra Lynn, and a son, Steven Flem. Carroll truly loved his children and devoted himself to their love and care.
Throughout his life, Carroll was actively involved in Park Place (now Servants of Christ) United Methodist Church. He sang in the choir, led the youth group, and served on the finance committee. He also selflessly assisted Bobbie with Boy Scouts and Little League Baseball, showing his commitment to his family and community.
Professionally, Carroll achieved great success as the Plant Manager at Concrete Pipe and Products for 35 years. His dedication and hard work left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.
Carroll leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Bobbie Latham; brother Cecil Rice; daughter Kendra and husband Donald Kalmus. Carroll's legacy also lives on through his grandchildren; Chad Latham, Khristen Wickham, Samantha and Victoria Kalmus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilary and Lennie Latham, and son, Steven Latham.
Carroll's warm heart, cheerful presence, and unwavering devotion to his family and community will be deeply missed. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation / Funeral Services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston on Friday, May 17. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and the funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at Deadwood Methodist Cemetery in Deadwood, Tx.
